South Bethany Beach Houses

Construction is progressing on both beach houses in South Bethany Beach, DE. Designing two side-by-side beach houses was a unique challenge, as we wanted each house to have its own personality, but have elements that tied them together. We chose materiality as that thread. Cedar shake, T&G wood siding, and terrazzo tile are the main cladding materials that are present in both homes. This creates a dialogue between the structures and allows us to use the materials in different and creative ways. Over the next few weeks, we will be diving into each house individually, showing you more of the details and how the interior spaces are shaping up.
