East Passyunk Competition aka Work-Shop

A proposal for a former auto-garage and body shop combines retail, co-working spaces, and private residences into a community-minded atmosphere, aimed at public engagement and creative maker spaces. A large open courtyard at the building's main entrance is used for farmer's markets, public performances, and connection through the site to an existing park. A boardwalk cuts through the ground floor of the building, allowing restaurants and local retailers to occupy the central atrium space and experience the raw industrial building in a new light.
